Are you a comparison shopper?

Of course you are, we all are, and that just became a whole lot easier if you are a smartphone user. Amazon has just released a new app for iPhone called Flow (http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/flow-powered-by-amazon/id474664425). This app lets you pick any product up while you are in a store scan the front of it, or its bar code, and it will instantly return reviews, pricing information, and the option to buy online. The app is bound to be ported to other devices, but in the mean time:

For Android users Google has created Google Goggles. Which is more or less a visual search engine for the camera on your phone (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hhgfz0zPmH4). Identify books, pieces of art , landmarks , save contact information from a business card, scan a bar code for pricing information, and it can even translate any text you take a picture of.

For WP7 (Windows Phone 7) users, Bing Vision does much of the same, comes preinstalled, and much like Google Goggles searches for more than just Amazon (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9BFEgWJIs04).
