Internet Depositions

In an internet deposition, the videographer and court reporter are synchronized. The video and synched transcripts are sent over the Internet to a remote location to be viewed live by any interested party you approve. You can also get live input from experts and co-counsel offsite through text messaging software. The live feed can be accomplished through a variety of additional methods at the deposition or conference site. However, the remote party needs no particular software to view the testimony. Prior arrangements must be made in order for the remote attendee to secure access.

Advantages:

  • View the transcript and streaming video live
  • Connect all parties in complex litigation
  • Eliminate travel expenses!
  • Secure transmission
  • The connection is tested prior to the deposition

How Does It Benefit Me?

  • Internet realtime enables off-site trial teams and corporate clients to monitor the verbatim substance of proceedings without leaving their offices.
  • It allows expert witnesses to monitor and comment on testimony of other witnesses and experts.
  • Allows attorneys to monitor multi-day proceedings to determine when testimony may be of interest to their claims— without incurring travel expense!
  • Internet realtime allows remote counsel to send instant commentary to the deposing attorney.

What Do I Need to Use Internet Realtime?

  • The off-site receiving party needs access to an internet connection and browser.
  • Prior arrangements must be made with the court reporting agency reporting the deposition or meeting.
